Roll-out Receptions


Three major receptions have already taken place:

  • December 8th at Kingsford-Oxford (CT) School to an overflow crowd.
  • February 13th at the Bristol (CT) Sports Hall of Fame, where Hall of Fame Chair, Jack Hines, commented, “One of the greatest evenings in the history of the Bristol Hall of Fame, and one of the greatest speeches all of us have ever heard.”
  • March 26th at Westchester Country Day School in High Point, North Carolina to an overflow crowd.

Receptions are now being planned in a number of locales, including:

  • A major May reception is being planned by the RDW Group of Providence, RI. The date will be announced on this website in the near future.
  • A major Fall reception is being planned by St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, MA. The date of this reception will be announced on this website in the near future.
  • The Providence Country Day School in Providence, Rhode Island is planning a major reception for all area Rhode Island schools in September.
  • The Rhode Island House of Representatives and the Rhode Island State Senate are planning a major reception in May at the Rhode Island State House in honor of Dan Doyle and The Encyclopedia of Sports Parenting.
  • The Town of West Hartford, CT is planning a major town wide reception on May 1.

The Encyclopedia of Sports Parenting Social Network

The Encyclopedia of Sports Parenting Social Network is being planned for launch at some point in 2008. The social network will provide parents, coaches, athletes, and others interested in sports parenting with the opportunity to communicate with each other. The network will also include a monthly internet session with sports parenting experts, during which social network members will be able to engage in question and answer sessions with these experts.

The Encyclopedia of Sports Parenting will be the first book in a three-part series. The two publications that will follow, The Encyclopedia of Sports Parenting Volume II and The Master Coach Manual will both be published in 2009.
