The 2003 United States Scholar-Athlete Games welcomed over 1500 scholar-athletes and scholar-artists from all 50 states, as well as delegations from the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and the Ivory Coast. The highlight of the 2003 United States Scholar-Athlete Games was a keynote speech delivered by Mayor Rudy Giuliani to a packed house in the Ryan Center at URI. Mayor Giuliani’s speech focused on the importance of “Developing a Philosophy”.
