The 2006 Rhode Island Scholar-Athlete Games “Renaissance Experience,” for Rhode Island students grades 3-8, involved the Institute’s acclaimed Sparta versus Athens concept whereby the entire group is separated into two teams- Sparta and Athens. Over the period of the competition, points are awarded in sports and the arts. Highlights of the 2006 Rhode Island Scholar-Athlete Games included the participants taking part in key World Scholar-Athlete Games events, including attending the keynote address by President William Jefferson Clinton.
