| The IIS has an extremely successful history of collaborating with individual donors, grant making foundations and corporate sponsors. Our International Scholar-Athlete Hall of Fame was made possible by a donation from philanthropist Alan Shawn Feinstein in 1996, and we have worked with Mr. Feinstein on a number of successful initiatives since then. Virtually all of the individual donors who contributed to the funding for the first World Scholar-Athlete Games in 1993 are still with us, and we have continued to administer successful programs as a result of their generosity.
