INSTITUTE TIMELINE/WORLD YOUTH PEACE SUMMIT

Peace Lectures: Throughout 2010 and 2011, the World Youth Peace Summit will hold a series of major "Peace Lectures" in virtually every community in Connecticut. A World Youth Peace Summit staff member will be in contact with you to provide full details.

2010 World Youth Peace Summit "Peace Concert" at Mohegan Sun: The World Youth Peace Summit expects to announce the major act, along with other details about this historic summer peace concert, in February 2010.

2010 Leadership Forum: This forum will involve the participation of 1000 Connecticut youth in an all-day leadership forum during which the students will begin to prepare their “Pathways to Peace” initiatives for the 2011 World Youth Peace Summit. The best of these initiatives will be posted on the World Youth Peace Summit website for review by the thousands of other World Youth Peace Summit participants from around the world.

The World Youth Peace Summit Connecticut "Ambassadors of Peace" Honors Dinner: This dinner will take place on October 22, 2010 at the Mohegan Sun. The dinner will honor 25 distinguished Connecticut residents, in commemoration of the Institute for International Sport's 25th anniversary, which will be celebrated on July 1, 2011 - in conjunction of the opening of the World Youth Peace Summit.

The World Youth Peace Summit "Peace Walks": The 2011 World Youth Peace Summit "Peace Walks" will take place approximately one month prior to the 2011 World Youth Peace Summit. The Peace Walks will take place in every Congressional District in the United States, as well as in many other countries.
