2011 World Youth Peace Summit Overview

- In July 2011, the inaugural World Youth Peace Summit will bring together thousands of alumni from the Institute’s Scholar-Athlete Games. The event’s geographic focus will include every country in the world
- The purpose of the Summit is to train these current and former scholar-athletes as community leaders, to help them develop peace initiatives for their home nations, and to give them the tools to successfully implement their programs
- These young leaders will create a grassroots global network of peace advocates and foster a more peaceful world
- Held in conjunction with the Institute’s 25th anniversary and 2011 World Scholar-Athlete Games, the Summit will mark the culmination of the Institute’s quarter-century of work with youth toward building a more peaceful world
- The Summit will be held every five years
