Measuring Success: Past, Present, and Future

"Scholar-Athlete Games graduates are already at work developing their respective Pathways to Peace projects, which range from a cochlear implant initiative for impoverished children in Mexico, to an agricultural micro-loan project to help African families become self-sustaining."
- Alan Hassenfeld, Chair, Institute Scholar-Athlete Games Programs Chair, Executive Committee, Hasbro Inc.

The Institute will evaluate the success of the Summit through a variety of means, including:

  • Input from surveys of participants and partners, covering all aspects of the event
  • Extensive media coverage before, during, and after the event
  • Participation in future Institute events, especially subsequent World Youth Peace Summits
  • Impact of participants' community projects: did they make a difference? How?
    • Results from participant surveys at past Institute events have been overwhelmingly positive
    • The 2006 World Scholar-Athlete received the federal government's highest possible rating
    • Atlantic Philanthropies, which has funded the Institute for 23 consecutive years, consistently refers to the Institute as among its very finest philanthropic investments
